The Haven’s Annual Ball: a glamourous ‘Night at the Movies’

The Haven’s annual ball returned for its fourth year in September with a glamourous ‘Night at the Movies’ theme.

The event welcomed around 110 guests, who enjoyed the glitz and glamour of Hollywood in the heart of Wolverhampton. The event was held at one of the city’s most prestigious venues – The Mount Hotel.

Blackjack and roulette tables, a live singer performing blockbuster hits, and of course, a popcorn machine, delighted guests throughout the evening. Attendees also enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, auction
and disco.

The ball helped to raise more than £7,000 to support women and children and vital services at The Haven.

One of the attendees said: “It was a brilliant night and amazing to be a part of raising such an incredible amount for a local charity that does so much good work in the city.”

Jade Secker, Fundraising Manager for The Haven, said: “This was our first ball since Covid, so it was amazing to see it be such a success and to welcome both new and familiar faces along to join us for a night of celebration.

“It is one of our biggest events of the year, and the funds raised are vital to ensuring we can continue to be a beacon of hope for vulnerable women and children fleeing domestic abuse.”
