Breaking cycles of harm together

Why work for a domestic abuse charity?

Working in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector is unlike any other career path. It combines professional expertise with purpose.

At The Haven you will:

  • Make a tangible difference in people’s lives every single day

  • Support long-term recovery, not just crisis intervention

  • Work alongside trauma-informed professionals across multiple disciplines

  • Be part of a trusted organisation rooted in the Wolverhampton community

  • Contribute to social change, not just service delivery

Many of our team members say this is the most meaningful work they have ever done.

Paid roles

Our employed roles span frontline services, safeguarding, administration, fundraising, communications, housing support, advocacy and leadership.

We look for people who are:

  • Empathetic and non-judgemental

  • Professional and reliable

  • Committed to equality and inclusion

  • Comfortable working within safeguarding frameworks

  • Motivated by supporting recovery and empowerment

You do not always need previous domestic abuse sector experience. We value transferable skills and provide specialist training.
