Stalking & Harassment Webinar

Overview: A comprehensive training that explores examples of stalking behaviours; differing stalking typologies and the stalker’s intent. Explore the risks associated with stalking and how these behaviours impact on the victim by using real life case studies to identify how insidious this behaviour is.  Learn the different legislation in the law, protection orders and best practice around reporting and recording of incidents. Gain knowledge to develop strategies to collate evidence confidently to help support a victim of stalking and learn where to refer and source the appropriate support.

At the end of the training participants will be able to:

• Identify what is stalking and harassment.
• Recognise stalking behaviours; differing stalking typologies; the stalker’s intent.
• Recognise the risks associated with stalking and how it impacts on the victim.
• Understand the law in relation to stalking and harassment.
• Locate support available to victims of stalking.

This training is aimed at any professional whose work brings them into contact with victims and perpetrators of stalking and harassment from the voluntary, statutory, and private sectors e.g., Specialist Domestic Abuse agencies, Refuge staff, Social Care, Housing Officers, Education, Police, Health and Social Care Providers, Academic Support, Criminal Justice Services, Family Justice Services, Private Fostering.
