Domestic Abuse: Stress Awareness

Overview: This training is meant to help you identify and cope with the stressors that come from your work. We all know that stress is a leading factor for modern struggles with mental and physical wellbeing and can have a huge impact on your daily life. Without finding ways to manage stress, career longevity and performance can be impacted due to burnout. Both employers and employees have responsibilities to reasonably minimise stress within the workplace.

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Be able to define stress, resilience, and wellbeing
  • Identify risk and protective factors for stress and resilience
  • Challenge common cognitive distortions
  • Grow your toolkit to manage your wellbeing

This training is suited to all employers and employees from the public, private and voluntary sectors that deal with high stress situations regularly. E.g., Health and social care workers, Doctors, Nurses and Midwives, Domestic abuse key workers, Criminal justice workers, Foster and social workers, Support workers, Housing officers, and Community leaders.
