Your safety is our top priority.
The safety of our supporters, our staff and volunteers, as well as the general public is our top priority when we undertake any fundraising activity. During the pandemic many fundraising events sadly could not go ahead. We rely on the money raised at events to keep vital services going, therefore, now that restrictions have lifted, we are taking a cautious approach to bringing some of our event’s calendar back into action. Everything that is planned and organised by The Haven’s team has been done so in line with government guidance; we keep constantly updated and make any necessary changes to events to ensure they are as safe as possible for all those involved.
For our quiz night events, to keep you safe:
Our team have all been double vaccinated and have and their booster jabs; they also take regular lateral flow tests.
When participants book to attend the event, they are advised that lateral flow tests are encouraged but not mandatory.
We will continue to keep the venue space well ventilated when inside.
We will continue to ensure there is adequate space between guests tables during the quiz.
All pens will have been sanitised and event literature that is put out on tables will be done so safely (anti -bac will be used before and after).
Our team will be following a risk assessment factoring in any potential hazards and causes for concern – covid and otherwise.
Personal protective equipment
Some of our team may choose to wear a face covering.
All of the Haven team will follow regular hand sanitising procedures, and any additional face covering procedures set out by the government and/or venue at the time of the event.
We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator, which means we adhere to a fundraising promise and regularly ensure our activity is in line with any guidance and regulation given to make our events legal, safe and ethical.
What you can do to keep yourself safe.
If you are attending the event, there are a few things you can do to keep yourself safe:
- Although not mandatory, we encourage guests to take a lateral flow test before attending to keep everyone safe.
- Wearing a face covering is personal preference, but to keep yourself safe, you could consider wearing one when moving around the venue.
- All guests are encouraged to follow regular hand sanitising procedures.
If you have any symptoms of COVID_19 or have been in close contact with someone that has symptoms, please ensure you are following current government guidance.
We continue to monitor the situation closely and in line with any announcements or changes to guidance made by the government, we will amend our event accordingly. You can re-visit this page at any time to keep up to date with our planning, much of which will focus on how we deliver this activity safely in the context of all necessary COVID-19 guidelines and precautions. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
