DESCRIPTION:Is playing 18 holes for charity on a glorious golf course your idea of a perfect afternoon?\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter the success of our most recent golf day last year\, we would like to invite you along to join us for a great afternoon of entertainment at Oxley Golf Course on Thursday 25th September 2025. The day promises to be either a break away from the office\, a good networking opportunity with colleagues\, or simply a chance to get back out onto the green with friends. For those who have attended before\, you already know what a great day you are booking in for. \nStart the day by joining us in the clubhouse for breakfast sandwiches\, a hot drink\, and a chance to network and socialise with your team before heading out on a beautiful golf course for 18 holes. \nAlongside your 18 holes of golf\, we plan to host additional mini competitions throughout the day\, including nearest the pin and longest drive\, all for the chance of winning a trophy. After your day on the course\, you and your team will come back into the clubhouse for a 2-course post-game meal\, and a raffle. Throughout the day\, you will be raising vital funds for the women and children supported by The Haven. \nEntry is just £80 per person (£320 per team) and teams of up to 4 players. \n£55 Corporate Hole Sponsorship packages are also available for those who would like to gain exposure at this event (even if you can’t attend the event). You will have the opportunity to display a company board/flag on your chosen hole\, and have your company promotional material in goody bags given out to every golfer. Perhaps you or someone you know has taken part in one of our 2023/2024 skydive challenges and you’re feeling inspired? Or maybe you are just looking for the next BIG thing to tick off your bucket list. Well then WE NEED YOU!! Join us at Langar Airfield in Nottingham\, in June 2025. You could be a part of a fantastic team taking on an incredible challenge all to raise vital funds for women and children fleeing domestic abuse and homelessness. \nYou can feel the thrill of a 14\,000ft freefall skydive\, take in the glorious sights from way above\, feel a full adrenaline rush as you reach a 120mph velocity before gently gliding to the ground under the parachute. So many of our previous skydivers can vouch for the amazing adrenaline rush and lifelong memories this challenge will give you. What’s more\, every penny raised will be helping to ensure more vulnerable women and children can flee to safety\, and access the vital care and support services they need to rebuild their lives following the trauma of abuse. So\, are you ready to be a part of the team? \n     \n\n\nAll skydives include: \n\n\n\nA fully qualified parachuting instructor\nTraining session before your jump\nMemories to last a lifetime\n\nSo whether you are an individual looking for a big bucket list tick\, a group of friends looking for a fun day out\, a business looking for a team building activity\, or a returning Jump 50 challenger looking to re-live that amazing adrenaline rush – this could be the event for you! \n\nOur skydive challenge is taking place over a weekend\, so choose the date which suits you best when booking\, (time-slots will be arranged closer to the jump date). For each skydive\, there is a £45 registration fee (non-refundable) and you are committing to additionally raising a minimum of £395 in sponsorship (80% of your funds must be raised 4 weeks prior to your jump). Signing up early also means that you have even more time to fundraise! DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\n\n\n\n\nRev up your engines and buckle up\, because #TeamHaven is hitting the road at this years’ Krazy Races event in Wolverhampton! We are looking for budding teams from local businesses to put on their seatbelts (safety first of course) and join us for an adrenaline-fueled frenzy on 1st September 2024. \nWe have a number of charity team places available and we would love to welcome you to be a Krazy Racer as part of our driving team. The benefit to signing up with us? Not only are you doing something amazing for a local charity\, but you also will get a significant discount on entry (team entries are usually anywhere between £150-£250 – with Team Haven\, your entry is just £60!*) \nWith every mile\, every twist and every turn of the track\, you will be helping to raise vital funds and awareness for women and children at The Haven fleeing from domestic abuse and homelessness. By rallying behind #TeamHaven\, you won’t just be reaching for that all-important win on the track\, you will also be playing a part in driving change locally in our community. Every penny raised will help vulnerable women and children to recover from the trauma they have experienced and look forwards to a better future. \nAs part of the event\, you will be launching yourselves through Wolverhampton city centre past the iconic Beatties building in your own carefully hand-crafted karts tackling over 350m of chicanes\, obstacles\, water and more… all the way down to the finish line! You will be competing to be the best dressed\, have the best designed and the fastest soapbox karts powered by nothing more than krazy courage\, wacky inspiration\, gravity and a bit of luck! \nCompetitors will work their way through a knockout style competition with only the fastest 10 cars making it through to the final\, where they will battle to take home the winner’s trophy! \nSo… what are you waiting for? DESCRIPTION:Is playing 18 holes for charity on a glorious golf course your idea of a perfect afternoon?\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter the success of our most recent golf day last year\, we would like to invite you along to join us for a great afternoon of entertainment at Oxley Golf Course on Thursday 23rd May 2024. The day promises to be either a break away from the office\, a good networking opportunity with colleagues\, or simply a chance to get back out onto the green with friends. For those who have attended before\, you already know what a great day you are booking in for. \nStart the day by joining us in the clubhouse for breakfast sandwiches\, a hot drink\, and a chance to network and socialise with your team before heading out on a beautiful golf course for 18 holes. \nAlongside your 18 holes of golf\, we plan to host additional mini competitions throughout the day\, including nearest the pin and longest drive\, all for the chance of winning a trophy. After your day on the course\, you and your team will come back into the clubhouse for a 2-course post-game meal\, a raffle\, and evening entertainment (more to be announced soon!). Throughout the day\, you will be raising vital funds for the women and children supported by The Haven. \nEntry is just £80 per person (£320 per team) and teams of up to 4 players. \n£50 Corporate Hole Sponsorship packages are also available for those who would like to gain exposure at this event. You could be a part of a fantastic team taking on an incredible challenge all to raise vital funds for women and children fleeing domestic abuse and homelessness. \nYou can feel the thrill of a 14\,000ft freefall skydive\, take in the glorious sights from way above\, feel a full adrenaline rush as you reach a 120mph velocity before gently gliding to the ground under the parachute. So many of our Jump 50 team from 2023 – including the last minute additions of our very own fundraising team – can vouch for the amazing adrenaline rush and lifelong memories this challenge will give you. What’s more\, every penny raised will be helping to ensure more vulnerable women and children can flee to safety\, and access the vital care and support services they need to rebuild their lives following the trauma of abuse. DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\n\nOverview: This training is to enable you to understand the complex nature of domestic abuse\, reproductive coercion\, and pregnancy and how this can impact the lives of families. With legislation and updated definition of domestic abuse\, recent statistics of the prevalence of domestic abuse in pregnancy\, what is reproductive coercion and recognising behaviours\, how to support a woman who is being reproductive coerced\, the effects of prenatal abuse\, adverse effects domestic abuse may have on an unborn child and parenting\, how does toxic stress affect reproductive health and the implications\, the impact of the mother – baby relationship\, real life case studies and sourcing the appropriate support available for a woman who is being subjected to domestic abuse. \nAt the end of the training participants will be able to: \n\nIdentify what is Reproductive Coercion\, and the health impacts and be able to recognise the signs.\nRecognise factors that impact prenatal development.\nIdentify how Domestic Abuse affects the mother-baby relationship\nRespond to disclosures of Domestic Abuse sensitively and in a way that promotes the safety of victims and families.\nLocate specialist support that is available for a woman who is being subjected to domestic abuse.\n\nThis training is aimed at any health professional whose work brings them into contact with women from the voluntary\, statutory\, and private sectors. This may include but is not limited to midwives\, health visitors\, obstetricians\, maternity professionals\, doctors\, social care\, education workers\, universities that specialise in health and social care studies\, voluntary sector support workers\, housing officers\, community leaders \nCPD points: 3 points \nDuration: 3.5 hours \nThis webinar will be accessed through MS Teams\, prior to the sessions please check you have access to MS Teams and that you have picture and sound on your device. No refunds will be issued\, but tickets can be transferred to events of equivalent value.

DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\n\nSection 76 of the Serious Crime Act 2015 came into force on 29th December 2015 and created a new offence of controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship. Before this offence was introduced\, case law indicated the difficulty in proving a pattern of behaviour amounting to harassment within an intimate relationship. \nOverview: This training gives a practitioner’s an understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and coercive/ controlling behaviour. The training explores legislation and the government definition\, identifying behaviours and indicators\, examples of how coercive control can affect parenting. It explores how coercive/ controlling tactics impact on a person’s identity whilst looking at social attitudes and the law and what types of evidence are used. SUMMARY:Domestic Abuse: Over 55’s – Abuse is Ageless Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Overview: This training will increase your understanding of the dynamics of Domestic Abuse and how it may be different for older people. It will encourage you to consider how age-related factors may impact a person’s experience of abuse\, the key risk factors for serious harm\, how to address barriers to engagement\, and how to identify and respond to adult safeguarding.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt the end of the training participants will be able to: \n\nMake the distinction between elder abuse and Domestic Abuse of older people.\nDevelop an understanding of the barriers older victims face.\nConsider the impact of age upon treatment and referral routes.\n\nThis training is aimed at any professional whose work brings them into contact with adults from the voluntary\, statutory\, and private sectors e.g.\, Professionals who have direct (face to face) or indirect (over the phone) contact. This may include but is not limited to specialist domestic abuse agencies\, refuge staff\, social care\, health workers\, doctors\, PCSOs\, health and social care sector\, voluntary sector\, support workers\, housing officers\, and community leaders. \nCPD points: 3 points \nDuration: 3.5 hours \nThis webinar will be accessed through MS Teams\, prior to the sessions please check you have access to MS Teams and that you have picture and sound on your device. No refunds will be issued\, but tickets can be transferred to events of equivalent value.

SUMMARY:The Intersection of Technology in Domestic Abuse and Family Law Cases
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n\n\nAs our dependency and use of technology increases\, we rely on electronic devices to complete many daily activities. Unfortunately\, these same technologies are being seen more and more in family law cases where offenders have identified ways to exploit them in order to facilitate harm towards their victims and co-parents alike. \nIn this interactive workshop\, Steven Bradley will explore the risks and benefits of technology\, not only for the clients we serve\, but also for you in your personal and professional lives. Attendees will learn safety planning and evidence collection strategies for phone technology\, location apps\, social media\, and more.
