A consultation is available to organisations, offering support in Domestic Abuse in the Workplace, which includes training and policy writing.
Overview:
This training course will support employees who want to act as a Champion for Domestic Abuse in their workplace. It will help to develop skills to be the safe ‘go-to’ person for any employee who wants to disclose Domestic Abuse and provide support mechanisms to staff who are victims or perpetrators. You will also develop skills to be a role model, raising awareness and building and engaging a community of interest in the Domestic Abuse agenda.
At the end of the training participants will be able to:
- To recognise the possible indicators that someone is being subjected to Domestic Abuse.
- To develop communication skills to use as a Domestic Abuse Workplace Champion.
- To respond to a disclosure of Domestic Abuse in a trauma informed response that promotes the safety of the employee.
- To locate support that is available for anyone being subjected to Domestic Abuse.
