Haven presents at WAVE Conference

On 11th October 2011 representatives from The Haven Wolverhampton attended the annual WAVE conference to present the work of the charities innovative Financial Inclusion Project to an audience of over 250 delegates from over 40 countries.

WAVE, which stands for Women Against Violence Europe, is an established network of European women’s non-governmental organisations that work in the field of combatting violence against women. Each year delegates from the network gather in a member country to exchange expertise through the hosting of a conference.

This years conference was held in Rome, Italy and attended by Haven representatives; Ann Dawson – Chair of the Board, Kath Rees – Chief Executive, Kath Farmer – Head of Policy and Research and Elvira Wilson – Head of Business Support Services. As part of the conference representatives presented information on The Haven Financial Inclusion Project in order to raise awareness and share best practice on how to support victims of Domestic Violence and Financial Abuse.
