Here at The Haven we need volunteers who can show commitment to The Haven and our work. The Haven is a unique environment which offers volunteers the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the field of domestic violence. You can choose which area of work you would like to volunteer in; whether its working directly with the children in one of The Haven's emergency accommodation refuges or working behind the scenes and gaining important office skills. We also offer opportunities for volunteers to become involved in fundraising, IT, marketing, publicity, resettlement, refurbishment and more.
There are lots of volunteering opportunities to choose from and it is an enjoybale way to meet new people, give something back to the community and gain experinence of working in the charity sector.
To become a Haven volunteer you must be able to volunteer for at least one three hour session a week.Due to the nature of the Charity, female applicants are encouraged in roles involving contact with service users. There are some other opportunities for male volunteers. Please contact us to find out more.
