| Student and College Placements |
| Please note that the Volunteer service is looking for willing volunteers to carry out a variety of tasks in many of our different services at The Haven. |
| If you are looking to do volunteering as part of a student placement, please note that the only student placements we offer are for the Diploma in Social Work and Diploma in Counselling. To access either of these placements you will need to be actively engaged on these courses and your tutor will need to contact us on 01902 572128 to make the necessary arrangements. |
| Social Work Students - Placements can be provided for students on Diploma in Social Work, MA in Social Work and BA in Social Work Programmes from Universities in this area. We offer between 4 to 6 placements a year and contact with The Haven regarding a placement must be made by the University - not the student. We offer placements in the hostels supporting and befriending survirors and victims of domestic violence as well as placements with outreach workers. |
| For any other College or University course we cannot offer placements which are assessed or contribute to your coursework. This is due to our Codes of Confidentiality. However the volunteer work we offer is rewarding in its own right and offers our own in-house accredited training. |
| New Deal - We do offer volunteer opportunities for New Deal workers. Placements must be organised by the New Deal Office via The Haven Human Resources Manager - please telephone 01902 572141 for more information. |
| NNEB - NNEB candidates should liaise with their educational establishment regarding the referrals for a placement at The Haven Wolverhampton. |
