Appeals and Campaigns

Here at The Haven Wolverhampton we strive to provide the best level of support to women and children affected by domestic violence and homelessness. In order to this we run a number of different appeals and campaigns which aim to generate funds and donations for the different areas of work at The Haven Wolverhampton.

Seasonal Appeals
The Haven operates a number of seasonal appeals throughout the year including a New Year Recycling Appeal, Easter Egg Appeal, Summer Play Appeal, Harvest Appeal and Christmas Gift Appeal. These appeals ask for donations of gifts in kind which can then be passed on directly to our services users or sold in order to generate funds to support Haven services. Women’s Emergency Fund Appeal
Many women affected by financial abuse find themselves in situations where they have very little to no control over their own finances. Some women have access to their funds restricted, some are not given any financial support by their partners and others are forced to take out credit cards and loans thus building up large amounts of debt. The Haven Women’s Emergency Fund support women with applications for small grants which go towards helping with the purchase of essential items including clothing and household items as well as support with the cost of travel expenses, applications to utility trusts to clear arrears and support with the cost of applying for a debt relief order or bankruptcy order. Cycle to end the Cycle Campaign
Haven staff will be cycling gruelling 270 miles to raise money for The Haven’s Counselling service. This service offers a vital lifeline to women and children helping them to come to terms with emotional issues and break free from abuse. To make a donation to the campaign please click here.
 
Wolverhampton Privilege Card Scheme
The Wolverhampton Privilege Card Scheme aims to raise money to support and develop Haven services as well as offer Wolverhampton City Centre shoppers the opportunity to get their hands on some fantastic discounts and offers. Click here to find out more.
