Haven staff to deliver presentation at UN, New York

Kath Rees (CEO) and Elvira Wilson (Head of Business Support) will be attending the 55th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York at the end of February 2011.

The UK Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) delegation has been organised by the NAWO (National Association of Women’s Organisations). This years session will focus on the issue of access and participation of women and girls to education, training, science and technology and also the promotion of women’s equal access to full employment and decent work.

On 25th February 2011 Haven staff will join WAVE (Women Against Violence in Europe – http://www.wave-network.org/start.asp?ID=23487&b=151) in delivering a parallel event entitled “Violence against Women and Children and Education” to talk about The Haven's new ground breaking project on Financial Abuse.
