Haven champions local heroes
On Wednesday 1st June 2011 The Haven unveiled a new campaign which will celebrate local heroes and highlight the importance of positive male role models in the city.

The ‘Haven Heroes’ campaign will encourage members of the public to put forward the names of males who they believe have made a positive difference or act as an inspiration to the local community, for an award. From the nominations received The Haven Wolverhampton will choose one individual who will be awarded the first ever 'Haven Hero Community Award’ trophy and certificate. Often the first place we learn about role models is in the home. |
Criteria, Terms and Conditions 1) All nominees must be male and living or working in the Wolverhampton area. The aim is to recognise an individual who is living or working in Wolverhampton and has made a positive difference to the local community or who acts as an inspiration to members of the local community. (2) Any person (male or female) can nominate once only. (3) Nomination forms will be analysed and assessed by a judging panel made up of Haven staff, volunteers and service users. (4) Winners are informed on 31st June 2011 and announcements will be made via The Haven Wolverhampton website www.havenrefuge.org.uk and facebook and twitter social networking sites. (5) The Haven Wolverhampton has the right to amend criteria and terms and conditions of this campaign at any time without prior notice. (6) The Haven Wolverhampton has the right to withdraw an award should information come light that does not fit in with The Haven’s nomination criteria. (7) Information declared in nomination forms may be used in Haven Publicity Materials and may appear on The Haven website www.havenrefuge.org.uk and on The Haven’s Facebook and Twitter sites. (8) The Haven Wolverhampton’s award decision is final. |
