From 22nd to 29th July 2008, members and representatives from SABR will visit The Haven Wolverhampton. The aim of the visit is to demonstrate through training programmes how domestic violence issues are tackled in the UK in order to instill knowledge, experience and skill which can then be used and put into practice in Uzbekistan.

During the 7 day visit, Chair of the Board – Nataliya Shakirova will carry out a presentation for members of The Haven board which will focus on sharing knowledge on domestic violence and women’s organisations. The visitors will receive training on UK approaches to domestic violence and will also visit a number of The Haven’s emergency refuges across Wolverhampton. The guests will also take part in The Haven’s annual ‘Staff Day Out’ and join in with a game or two of bowling.

This visit provides the opportunity to share experiences, embrace culture and maintain professional and valuable International relations
