The Haven Wolverhampton offers support to women from Black Minority & Ethic (BME) backgrounds in refuge and in the community. A number of Haven workers are able to speak a variety of community languages and are able to assist with:
- Advocating / Interpreting / Translating
- Understanding cultural problems and issues
- Information on Welfare, Rights & Immigration
- Accessing legal and practical advice
- Contacting various local services including Solicitors and GP's

Specialist support is also available for women with complex needs. Pearl House is a specialisit refuge which supports women and children affected by ill mental health as a result of Domestic Violence.
The Haven also employs a Family Support Worker - Alcohol Lead who is able to provide intensive support to women with alcohol and/or substance misuse issues.
