Half-Term
Easter Activities- Play Team
Every
year staff at The Haven tries to make Easter a special time for all the
children. In the preparation for Easter the play workers were able to
provide a wide range of activities aimed to meet the needs of all age
groups.
|
Activities
during the first week involved making Easter cards, chicks and eggs,
the children also had a great time making their own pizzas and the
older children enjoyed a trip out to Telford Town Park. At our large
family Hostel the children had a wonderful time outside in the garden
planting flowers and herbs; it was a new experience for many of
our young gardeners discovering textures and aromas of the herbs.
We
also had an egg hunt in the garden which was great fun, with all
the children being very excited, especially as it involved chocolate
for prizes.
During
the second week of the Easter break, activities included cooking
and decorating biscuits, making chocolate nests with eggs and fun
using the dance mat. We also arranged two trips to the cinema, one
for the younger children with their mums and one for the older children.
