Haven Services: Specialist Support for Asian Women

The Haven Wolverhampton offers support to Asian women in the community. We have two Asian Support workers who work with Asian women in hostels and on an outreach basis. This service provides culturally sensitive support, including:
Advocating/Interpreting;
Understanding cultural problems and issues;
Information on Welfare, Rights & Immigration.
'Nein Zindagi'
	'Nein Zindagi' is a 'new life' initiative for Asian women who have/are experiencing domestic violence. We meet once a week. Group activities include:
Outings, e.g. to the cinema, bowling etc.
Structured classes, e.g. crafts, cooking, DIY skills.
Or just a cup of tea and chat!
